Myself

I’m Julia @willowgraceperinatal, a specialist in supporting pregnant and postnatal mums who are enduring pain and discomfort. My mission is to help you become fully present and truly enjoy the incredible journey of motherhood.

With firsthand experience from my own two very different births, I deeply understand the unique challenges that come with each pregnancy and postnatal period. My children, now teenagers, have shaped the name of my business, as well as my approach and commitment to maternal wellbeing.

As a former midwife, I now focus on providing transformative pregnancy massage, postnatal therapy, and abdominal scar therapy. My addiction to learning drives me to constantly improve. Youā€™ll often find me engrossed in books, research papers, podcasts, or new courses to ensure I bring the best possible benefits to my clients. Recently I’ve got really passionately into scar therapy and using my Lymphatouch to really help women reduce the discomfort and pain of their abdominal scars.

I’m thrilled to introduce Charlie Bauer, a skilled womenā€™s health physiotherapist, who will be joining me. Charlie will expertly address all your pelvic floor, pregnancy, and postnatal needs. As a fellow mum and dedicated professional, Charlie is passionate about enhancing womenā€™s health.

We love being based at the serene and beautiful Rumwell Hall, just on the edge of Taunton. This idyllic setting is perfect for you to relax, rejuvenate, and focus entirely on your wellbeing.

Donā€™t miss the chance to meet Charlie and I at the Pregnancy and Postnatal Well-being Morning. Discover how we can provide the support, relief, and care you deserve on your motherhood journey.

Jen Bolton Doula

Jen Bolton Doula will be attending the next Pregnancy and Postnatal Well-being event

Iā€™m Jen, a birth & postnatal doula & breastfeeding peer support based in Wellington, Somerset.

After having both of my babies at home, followed by a tricky navigation of the postnatal period, I decided I wanted to become a doula to better support women & their families to meet their needs & potential. I aim to be a part of ā€˜the villageā€™ that is so often missing.

My goal is to provide evidence based, compassionate, continuous care to help you feel confident, informed & empowered every step of the way. Whether itā€™s your first baby or your fifth, Iā€™m here to make your experience as positive & fulfilling as possible.

Navigating the NHS, understanding your choices & advocating for them, looking for evidence or a listening ear, debriefing a previous experience, signposting to other local services, having your own cheerleader, supporting you in all your choices & supporting your partner & family are just some of the care & support that I offer as a doula.

You can book me for 1:1 antenatal sessions, power hours, postnatal planning, birth support & postnatal care.

Alongside my doula work, Wellington Infant Feeding Group is part of the continued support that I offer the local community. I have been running the group for over 2 years & I estimate that over 200 families come to us for feeding support & to meet other local families.

To find out more about what I do, please come & join me for an ā€˜Introduction to Doula Supportā€™ at the Pregnancy & Postnatal Wellbeing Morning!

Emily Van Wyk – Osteopath

Emily Van Wyk - Osteopath will be attending the next Pregnancy and Postnatal Well-being event

I’m a McTimoney chiropractor and cranial sacral therapist with a special interest in pregnancy, post natal care and paediatrics. I work in two clinics, the Rose and Crown in South Molton and my own in Williton. I’ve found Chiropractic to be very beneficial during pregnancy and I had plenty of treatment myself with each of my own.
I love my work and feel privileged to be a part of someone’s life during this special time. I mainly use cranial for babies that come to me, it’s so gentle and most babies find it relaxing. I’ve seen amazing changes through this work helping babies adjust to life outside of the womb.
I also work with retained reflexes in older children as well as treating all ages for aches and pains that life brings.

With specialised training, I offer classes to enhance strength, flexibility and well-being during pregnancy and beyond. My approach combines, mindfulness and gentle movement, creating a supportive space for expecting and new mothers to connect and thrive.

As a former physical education teacher, health and well-being have always been my priorities. This passion led me to start yoga and fitness classes in the south west, helping individuals build self-confidence and inner strength.

Inspired by my positive birth experience, I believe yogaā€™s breathing techniques and movements were key, therefore I want to share this with others to support them to have a similarly empowering experience.

I also am passionate about postnatal recovery, offering baby and me classes, focusing on bonding, recovery and relaxation through movement, breathing exercises, sensory activities and mindfulness. Join me to discover the joy and benefits of yoga for both parents and babies.

Somerset Maternity Voices Partnership

Somerset MVP logo, showing pregnant women and medical staff. Somerset MNVP will be attending the next Pregnancy and Postnatal Well-being event

Somerset Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) is an independent NHS working group and co-production forum. We exist to support the implementation of the NHS England Better Births plan across Somerset.
Our team consists of staff, volunteers, people who use maternity services and their families, midwives, and doctors. We work together to review and contribute to the development of maternity care in Somerset.
We engage with people who have recently used local maternity services, listening to their experiences and feedback. Their insights are then shared with Somersetā€™s Integrated Care System and the maternity service providers it commissions, to make sure peopleā€™s opinions are at the heart of shaping Somersetā€™s maternity services.
